Per il quinto anno consecutivo, l’IILA - Istituto Italo-Latino Americano e Zètema
Progetto Cultura indicono il Premio IILA-FotoGrafia,
nell’ambito della XI edizione di FotoGrafia –
Festival Internazionale di Roma (20 settembre - 10 novembre 2012),
un’iniziativa che offre a fotografi emergenti latinoamericani l’opportunità di
partecipare al Festival assieme a figure consacrate di tale disciplina.
Una selezione dei migliori lavori fra quelli pervenuti verrà
esposta al MACRO Testaccio - Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Roma, il prestigioso
spazio espositivo che conferisce al Festival e al Premio un profilo
qualitativamente alto nell’ambito degli eventi culturali di Roma.
Fra i selezionati verrà nominato un vincitore assoluto che realizzerà una
residenza di un mese a Roma, durante la quale svilupperà un lavoro fotografico
sulla Città Eterna, che sarà presentato sempre al MACRO Testaccio durante l’edizione
2013 del Festival.
I fotografi che vogliono partecipare alla selezione di quest’anno
dovranno inviare un progetto sul tema “IL LAVORO”. Parola chiave di questi
ultimi anni e della storia della fotografia, questo tema sarà reinterpretato mediante una grande attenzione
alle differenze e ai cambiamenti dei linguaggi della fotografia e del lavoro
contemporaneo. Un tema classico della fotografia documentaria
del novecento che ritorna alla centralità dell’uomo, facendo propria una sfida
che coinvolge nuovi linguaggi e nuove narrazioni.
A partire da quest’anno, due
sono le novità introdotte per venire incontro alle numerose richieste dei
fotografi interessati: l’innalzamento dell’età massima dei partecipanti a 40
anni e l’invio dei lavori tramite web (fotografia@iila.org).

En el quinto año
consecutivo, el IILA - Instituto
Italo-Latino Americano y Zètema
Progetto Cultura, convocan el
Premio IILA-FotoGrafia en el marco
de la XI edición de FotoGrafia
- Festival Internazionale di Roma (del 20 de septiembre
al 10 de noviembre de 2012), dando la oportunidad a fotógrafos emergentes latinoamericanos de participar en el Festival junto a figuras consagradas de esta disciplina.
Una selección de los mejores trabajos, entre los enviados,
se expondrá en el MACRO
Testaccio - Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Roma, el
prestigioso espacio expositivo
que confiere al Premio un
alto perfil cualitativo en el marco
de los eventos culturales de Europa.
Entre los seleccionados se nombrará un ganador absoluto, al que se le ofrece un mes de residencia en Roma,
durante el cual, el ganador realizará
un trabajo fotográfico enfocado
en la Ciudad Eterna, el
cual sera presentado en la edición 2013 del Festival en el ya citado espacio
de MACRO Testaccio.
Los fotógrafos que se postulen a la selección de este año, deben
enviar un proyecto sobre el tema "EL
TRABAJO". Palabra clave de los
últimos años y de la historia de la fotografía: Este tema será reinterpretado poniendo gran atención a las diferencias y a los cambios de los lenguajes de la fotografía
y del trabajo contemporáneo.
"Un tema clásico de la fotografía
documentaria del siglo XX, que
vuelve a la centralidad del
hombre, haciendo propio un desafío que utiliza nuevos
lenguajes y narraciones".
Se han introducido dos
novedades a partir de la presente edición, para responder al pedido de
numerosos fotógrafos interesados, aceptando: una mayor edad de los
participantes (de 35 a
40 años) y el envío de los trabajos por internet (fotografia@iila.org).

de 2012.

2012 IILA-Photography Prize – V edition
“WORK”

For the fifth consecutive year, the IILA - Italo-Latin American Institute and
Zètema Progetto Cultura are organizing the IILA-FotoGrafia Prize, within the XI
edition of FotoGrafia - International Festival of Rome (September 20 – November
10 2012), offering new Latin American talent the opportunity to participate in
the festival alongside the discipline’s consecrated names.
A selection of the best works will be exhibited at Rome’s Contemporary Art
Museum MACRO Testaccio, the prestigious exhibition space gives the Festival and
the Prize a qualitatively high profile in the context of Rome cultural events.
The overall winner will be chosen from among those who win admission to the
exhibition, and will receive a stay of a month in Rome. During the stay, the winner
will develop a photographic project on Rome, which will be on show at the 2013
edition of the Festival, at the MACRO.
Participation in the prize is through a competition, whose theme this year is
“WORK”. This theme has been an important topic in recent years and in the
history of photography and will be reinterpreted with a great attention to
differences and changes in the languages of photography and contemporary work. “WORK”
is a classic theme of the documentary photography of the twentieth century
which returns to the centrality of man, taking up a challenge that involves new
languages and new narrations.
From this edition,
there are two news to meet the numerous requests from
interested photographers: raising the participation age from 35 to 40 years
old and the submission of the project and documentation by e-mail (fotografia@iila.org).
The deadline for
participation is June 30, 2012.
